In the state of California, working under the oversight of the DFPI or DRE, you must complete at least 20-hours of pre-licensing education and pass a challenging National Test with a score of 75% or better, to receive your Mortgage Loan Origination (MLO) designation. Live 20 Hour CA-DFPI SAFE Comphrensive: Origination & Exam Preparation Course
This course meets the SAFE Mortgage licensing Act requirements for state licensed mortgage loan originators. It does include all of the mandated subjects under the PE SAFE Comprehensive. The course is designed to provide an extensive overview of the National test components (3 hours of Federal regulations, 3 hours Ethics, Fraud, Consumer Protection and Fair Lending and 2 hours of Non-traditional Lending) relating to the residential mortgage industry, including 10 hours of general electives and 2 hours of California State laws, and to prepare the student for the national exam.

Theis course is designed to prepare students with the knowledge needed to pass the National Test with Uniform State Content, which is mandated by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act). This course is intended for all mortgage loan originators, whether experienced or new. Up-to-date content, taught by seasoned mortgage professionals, includes topics as required by the SAFE Act: federal mortgage-related laws, general mortgage knowledge, mortgage loan origination activities, ethics, and uniform state content.
